We cannot begin to express how thankful we are for your support. Purple Door Coffee is happening. Today I’ve been overwhelmed by the support we’ve received in my 7 months with Purple Door.
We credit this to God and His heart for what we are trying to do. I say we, because you are a valuable part of everything we are working towards. Purple Door is happening because more and more people are catching the vision, and their heart is moved to contribute to what we are doing.
Each day I am thankful for the people that have contributed to Purple Door. Today as I led Bible Study at Bud’s Warehouse, I was struck by how ready I am to be doing this type of thing with Purple Door. Today as an individual that I goal coach came to ask me for some advice on a goal he is working on, I got excited about Purple Door being up and running! Last night in a conversation with a friend on the street, they stated that they can’t figure out what their boss wants from them, and so they think they are going to get fired. This motivated me to continue striving to open the doors of Purple Door, and to communicate well as we train and employ our friends from the streets.
Each day we are closer to opening our doors. We’ve said that many times, but now, we can truly feel it. When we said it when we had $10,000 raised. Now that we have raised nearly $22,000 towards our $30,000 match on top of what we had already raised it’s becoming a lot easier to say, “each day we are closer to opening our doors.”
We’re closer, but we’re not there yet. Each day we spend time finding ways to get our story out into the world. We’ve been blessed by others helping us share our story (please continue sharing about our mission to employ homeless teens and young adults as they seek to exit street life).
Please, help us reach our matching goal as soon as possible by donating here.
Please, help us tell our story by sharing with your friends and family. Help us set up meetings with new people. Share our posts on Facebook and Twitter. You can share our videos as well. Check them out here.
Please, pray for us. Pray for funds to come in. Pray for the street kids we will employ. Pray for the real estate search (it’s getting a lot closer).
