Why a Coffee Shop?
We can meet a demand while sharing an important story
The Purple Door Coffee Roaster has successfully created a safe environment for our friends to transition from chronic unemployment and life on the streets to a place of stable employment. The time has come to create a next steps program.
The new flagship coffee shop will increase Purple Door’s impact among Denver’s unhoused youth population by being a public facing space that not only sells the great craft coffee being roasted at our coffee roaster job training program but also tells the story of transformation in a beautiful and impactful way.
The Coffee Shop will create opportunities for the Purple Door Coffee Roaster job training graduates to receive continued mentorship, space for healing and growth, and an opportunity to enter a career as a professional barista.
